A well-established law firm based in Cedar Grove, NJ, is seeking a litigation attorney with a focus on insurance defense. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide-ranging caseload on behalf of insurance carriers, managing litigation strategy from inception through resolution. The firm seeks a legal professional with courtroom experience, strong advocacy skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Duties:

• Manage and defend a varied portfolio of insurance-related litigation matters

• Conduct depositions of both fact and expert witnesses

• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery responses

• Develop a litigation strategy in collaboration with clients and partners

• Represent clients at court appearances, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations

• Evaluate cases for potential settlement and provide recommendations

• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients and third parties

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience in insurance defense

• Licensed to practice law in both New Jersey and New York

• Demonstrated ability to handle cases independently and effectively

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient in legal research and case management

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar admission in New Jersey and New York
