Duties

• Handle a caseload of civil litigation matters with supervision from senior attorneys

• Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare memoranda

• Represent clients in court hearings, conferences, and depositions

• Participate in property inspections and collaborate with expert witnesses

• Attend mediations and contribute to trial preparation and courtroom strategy

• Maintain timely and thorough documentation and case updates

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing with the New York State Bar

• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in civil or insurance defense litigation

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Proven aptitude in legal writing, research, and analytical reasoning

• Comfort in both independent and team-based legal work environments

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar (required)
