A law firm seeks a dedicated Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join their team in New York, NY. This role is ideal for a results-driven attorney with a focus on maximizing client recovery and maintaining compliance with litigation timelines.

Duties

• Handle cases from pre-litigation through resolution, including trial preparation.
• Conduct case strategy, liability assessment, and investigations.
• Manage a high-volume caseload with support staff.
• Draft and file pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Take and defend depositions of parties and experts.
• Prepare for and attend mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
• Collaborate with experts for report drafting and case development.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
• Prepare cases for trial and support trial litigation.
• Provide exceptional client service and maintain communication.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the New York State Bar.
• 2+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience preferred.
• Experience in auto liability/MVA cases is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently.
• Strong writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent client communication and relationship management.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.)

Certifications

• New York State Bar membership

Skills

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Strong case strategy and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle cases across multiple phases of the lifecycle.
