Job Overview:
A well-established law firm based in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a motivated and versatile associate attorney to support a diverse legal practice. This position is ideal for a legal professional looking to gain exposure across corporate law, litigation, immigration, mergers & acquisitions, and family law. The role offers the opportunity to work on complex matters, represent clients in various legal forums, and contribute to high-impact legal strategy and documentation.
Duties:
Handle corporate legal transactions, including M&A and business structuring matters
Represent clients in court hearings, arbitration, and administrative proceedings
Provide legal support in litigation, immigration, and family law matters
Draft legal briefs, memoranda, motions, and correspondence
Review, analyze, and revise legal agreements and business contracts
Negotiate settlements and resolve business or personal legal disputes
Conduct legal research and provide advice on a broad spectrum of legal issues
Perform due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other commercial deals
Proactively identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
Requirements:
1-3 years of experience practicing law in a relevant capacity
Active license to practice law in the State of Georgia
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications:
State Bar of Georgia – Active Member (required)
Skills:
Strong written and verbal advocacy skills
Effective in negotiation and conflict resolution
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in drafting and reviewing documents
Able to manage multiple matters simultaneously across various legal domains
Comfortable appearing in court and interacting directly with clients
