Job Overview

A leading law firm is seeking a junior to mid-level Real Estate Associate to join its Phoenix office. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a Chambers-ranked real estate practice that works with a diverse and sophisticated client base including REITs, institutional and private equity investors, developers, health systems, franchise companies, renewable energy organizations, and others. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to handle complex transactions and collaborate with an experienced team dedicated to professional development and mentorship.

Location

  • Phoenix, AZ

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate legal documents for a variety of commercial real estate transactions

  • Handle purchase and sale agreements, leases, and development agreements

  • Assist with real estate secured lending, including loan modifications and workouts

  • Conduct due diligence and manage real estate closings

  • Collaborate with team members locally and across the firm’s national platform

  • Interact with clients and other counsel to ensure seamless execution of transactions

  • Support clients across multiple asset classes and industry sectors

Requirements

  • 1 to 5 years of experience in commercial real estate law

  • Experience handling real estate transactional matters including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing

  • Demonstrated ability to manage deal flow and client relationships with minimal supervision

  • Strong interest in long-term development within a real estate practice

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Admission to practice law in the state of Arizona, or eligibility for prompt admission

Skills

  • Proficiency in legal drafting and negotiation

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple concurrent transactions
