Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Attorney in Coral Springs, FL. The attorney will represent creditors and manage high-volume bankruptcy matters statewide. Responsibilities include expediting case files and liaising with various stakeholders while ensuring compliance with applicable bankruptcy rules and timelines.

Duties

  • Manage high-volume statewide bankruptcy matters.
  • Expedite assigned caseload efficiently.
  • Act as a liaison with clients, vendors, and legal personnel.
  • Review loan documents, financials, and demand letters.
  • Draft and review pleadings and correspondence.
  • Communicate with opposing counsel, trustees, and judges.
  • Update internal systems with findings and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements.
  • Review and execute various bankruptcy-related notices and claims.
  • Conduct Chapter 13 and Chapter 11 plan reviews.
  • Attend court hearings as required.
  • Prepare motions and objections related to secured creditors.
  • Manage caseload to meet goals and client expectations.
  • Handle escalated and time-sensitive matters.
  • Maintain accurate updates in management systems.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Florida.
  • Minimum of 3 years of bankruptcy experience.
  • Experience with Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 cases.
  • Preferred experience in real estate, mortgage, or commercial litigation.
  • Knowledge of FDCPA, RESPA, TILA, and related laws is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and client confidentiality.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Florida.
