Spring Internship

Intern will have firsthand knowledge of the way in which a Senate office operates on a daily basis, to observe the legislative process at the federal level, and to develop research skills related to public policy. Preference is given to college students who are attending a Utah university and residents from Utah who are attending schools outside of the state. Must have High school diploma. Responsibilities may include: Attending Senate hearings’; Assisting with research on specific projects; Sorting and replying to constituent inquiries and mail’; Tracking the progress of legislation; Meeting and interacting with constituents in the office; Answering telephones; Attending and assisting with constituent events.

Duration: January 5 - April 9.
