Duties:

  • Draft and prosecute biotech patent applications by U.S. Patent and Trademark Office guidelines.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to conduct intellectual property due diligence and Freedom to Operate (FTO) analyses.
  • Assist in preparing legal opinions, memoranda, and client communications related to biotech patent matters.
  • Conduct thorough research on relevant biotech technologies and stay abreast of industry developments.
  • Work closely with clients and internal teams to understand and assess their biotech intellectual property needs.

Requirements:

  • Must be a registered practitioner before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
  • Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related discipline is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
  • Desirable: Prior experience working in a law firm environment.
  • Excellent academic credentials reflecting a strong understanding of biotech concepts and principles.
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills (written and oral).

Education:

  • Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related discipline.

Certifications:
