Profile

A law firm located in Seattle, WA is seeking a Technology Transactions (IT) Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience. The successful candidate will join the firm's national practice group, focusing on intellectual property and commercial transactions for technology companies. This role involves structuring, drafting, and negotiating various agreements, including license, service, development, distribution, and partnering agreements. Additionally, the candidate will handle intellectual property aspects of mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, financings, and other multidisciplinary transactions. A strong interest in technology companies and a technical or science background are beneficial. Superior academic credentials, along with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, are required.

Duties:

• Structure, draft, and negotiate a range of intellectual property and commercial transactions, including license, service, development, distribution, and partnering agreements.
• Manage intellectual property aspects of mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, financings, and other multidisciplinary transactions.
• Provide legal counsel on intellectual property issues related to technology companies and their commercial transactions.
• Advise clients on regulatory compliance and best practices in intellectual property and technology transactions.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address complex legal and business matters.
• Stay current with developments in technology law and intellectual property regulations.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in intellectual property and commercial transactions.
• Strong interest in technology companies and experience supporting technology-related transactions.
• Experience in structuring, drafting, and negotiating various agreements.
• Technical or science background is beneficial.
• Proven ability to handle complex intellectual property and commercial transaction issues.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the bar in Washington (or eligibility for admission).
