Job Title: Real Estate Transaction Closing Attorney
Job Overview:
A reputable law firm based in Atlanta, GA, is actively seeking a skilled Residential Real Estate Closing Attorney to support its real estate practice. This position offers an opportunity to manage full-cycle residential real estate transactions in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The role is primarily based at the firm’s central office near the Cumberland Mall, with occasional travel to affiliated offices within the metro Atlanta area. The ideal candidate will bring several years of hands-on experience in Georgia real estate closings, demonstrate a strong understanding of title matters, and possess the communication skills necessary to engage with clients and business partners effectively.
Duties:
Oversee end-to-end residential real estate transactions, from contract execution through closing
Analyze title reports and collaborate with team members to clear encumbrances or discrepancies
Draft and review real estate documents, including deeds, affidavits, and settlement statements
Conduct closings at the main office and occasionally at off-site locations
Foster and maintain relationships with lenders, agents, brokers, and homebuyers
Participate in networking, legal education, and occasional public-facing events
Support firm leadership in outreach and marketing initiatives
Requirements:
Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia
Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in residential real estate law
Working knowledge of Georgia real estate procedures, title practices, and compliance standards
Comfortable with both in-office work and periodic travel within the metro area
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
Client-focused with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
Certifications:
Georgia Bar License (Required)
Skills:
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
Competence using paperless systems and digital case management tools
Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities
Clear and effective written and oral communication
Ability to thrive in team-driven, client-centric legal settings
Prior experience reviewing and analyzing title examinations (preferred)
