A reputable law firm in Poughkeepsie, NY, seeks a skilled General Liability Attorney to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring experience in general liability cases and the ability to manage responsibilities independently within a fast-paced environment. This role requires proactive engagement with cases from preparation through resolution, focusing on effective communication and timely case management.

Duties:

• Analyze case issues and provide strategic input to resolve claims effectively.
• Maintain regular communication with claims professionals, documenting interactions for case records.
• Draft and prepare pleadings, conduct depositions, and manage motions.
• Support case management from filing to resolution, including trial preparation and, if applicable, trial participation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in general liability law.
• Proven ability to manage cases with attention to detail and timely resolution.
• Strong foundation in legal documentation, from pleadings to depositions.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the New York Bar.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Capacity to handle multiple cases and tasks within a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset.

Job Location:

• Poughkeepsie, NY
• Hybrid work model: 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely each week.
