Location:

• Albany, NY

Duties:

• Manage discovery processes, including overseeing document review.
• Take and defend depositions in commercial litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other key litigation documents.
• Assist in trial preparation and provide legal strategy support.
• Participate in hearings, motions, and case management conferences.
• Provide support throughout the litigation process, from pre-trial to post-trial.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategies and trial presentations.

Requirements:

• Experience in commercial litigation, including discovery, depositions, and document review.
• In-court experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong academic credentials and legal writing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Bar admission in the jurisdiction of the office or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Bar admission in the jurisdiction of interest (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly).

Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in managing discovery and document review.
• Experience in taking and defending depositions.
• Ability to draft litigation documents, including pleadings and motions.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
