A law firm seeks an Investment Funds Associate in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and experience advising on the formation and operation of various funds, including private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds. Experience in secondary transactions and structuring separately managed accounts is preferred.

Duties

• Advise on the formation and operation of domestic and international investment funds.
• Represent clients in secondary transactions on both sponsor and investor sides.
• Structure separately managed accounts and carry vehicles.
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Produce high-quality work and manage competing priorities.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm preferred.
• Ability to contribute to a sophisticated investment funds practice.

Education

• JD degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in the state of California.

Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
