A law firm in Champaign is currently seeking an Attorney with 0-10 years of commercial transaction experience. The ideal candidate should possess a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and have an active State of Illinois and/or Missouri Law license in good standing. The Attorney will be responsible for handling commercial transactions for the law firm. This role requires expertise in contract law, negotiation skills, and the ability to provide legal advice on a variety of business transactions.

Duties:

• Draft and review commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
• Provide legal advice on a range of commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and financing agreements.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, vendors, and other parties involved in commercial deals.
• Conduct due diligence on commercial transactions to identify legal risks and issues.
• Advise clients on compliance with relevant laws and regulations affecting commercial transactions.
• Work closely with clients to understand business objectives and tailor legal solutions accordingly.
• Stay updated on changes in commercial laws and industry practices.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
• Active State of Illinois and/or Missouri Law license in good standing.
• 0-10 years of experience in commercial transactions.
• In-depth knowledge of contract law and commercial legal principles.
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
