Duties

• Meet with clients to understand their wishes and draft documents such as Wills, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney.
• Advise on estate, gift, GST tax, and income tax matters for mid to high net worth individuals and families.
• Engage in estate administration, including preparing and filing probate documents and attending hearings.

Requirements

• Knowledge in estate planning, estate and gift tax, and business succession planning.
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
• Ability to summarize complex problems and propose solutions.
• Organizational and project management skills.
• Proficiency in online legal research services.
• Sound and independent judgment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Manage new and existing client relationships.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to the Michigan State Bar, or eligible for prompt admission.

Skills
