A client-focused immigration law firm is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Associate Immigration Attorney to join its growing practice. This role provides the opportunity to supervise paralegal staff, represent clients in USCIS and immigration court proceedings, and manage a diverse, high-volume caseload. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, legal proficiency in immigration law, and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment. Supervise and provide guidance to a team of paralegals
Review 20+ immigration applications per week prior to submission
Collaborate with Senior Attorney on case strategies and complex matters
Represent clients in 2–8 Master Hearings per week
Draft and file motions including Motions to Recalendar, Withdraw, Consolidate, Change Venue, and Terminate
Coordinate with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for joint motions
Attend USCIS appointments and represent clients in interviews
Conduct client meetings to provide updates, discuss strategy, and address case concerns
Ensure all deadlines are met and oversee daily case progress
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
Admission to practice law in any U.S. state or in Puerto Rico
1–2 years of experience in immigration law, including removal defense and deportation matters
Strong leadership and personnel management skills
Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and work under pressure
Proficient in legal software and case management tools
Strong legal writing, communication, and client-interaction skills
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico
Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Legal research, motion practice, and courtroom advocacy experience
Ability to handle sensitive cases with discretion and empathy
Strong negotiation and mediation capabilities
