A law firm seeks a proactive and highly skilled Transportation Litigation Senior Attorney in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling litigation matters within the transportation sector and an understanding of applicable regulations. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging cases and provide sound counsel to clients.

Duties

• Manage a litigation caseload from beginning to end.
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to transportation laws and regulations.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments and offices.
• Draft case analysis reports for client stakeholders.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the state of Texas.
• 8 years of general casualty litigation experience.
• First and/or second chair experience strongly desired.
• Trial experience required.
• Transportation and logistics regulatory experience preferred.
• Experience with e-commerce/gig economy legal issues preferred.
• Deposition and motion practice experience required.

Education

• JD from an ABA accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in the state of Texas.
