Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a junior-level corporate associate attorney for its Capital Markets group, specifically within the Derivatives team. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong academic background and law firm experience, preferably with expertise in derivatives. Applicants with general corporate experience will also be considered.

Location:

Duties:

• Work closely with the Derivatives team on complex capital markets transactions.
• Assist in structuring, negotiating, and documenting a wide variety of derivatives products.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to manage transactional matters.
• Provide legal guidance on corporate and capital markets issues, focusing on derivatives.
• Participate in professional development programs and mentorship initiatives.
• Engage in pro bono work in line with the firm's community-focused efforts.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience (class of 2023-2020).
• Experience in derivatives preferred, though corporate experience will also be considered.
• Proven ability to handle complex transactions and communicate effectively with clients.
• Familiarity with the legal requirements governing capital markets and derivatives.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• High academic achievement is preferred.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission required.
