Job Title: Mid-Level Associate Attorney - Litigation
Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a mid-level litigation associate with a strong foundation in legal writing and motion practice, particularly under Rule 702 and Daubert standards. The ideal candidate will bring focused experience in product liability matters, especially involving pharmaceutical or medical device cases. This hybrid role offers a dynamic blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.
Duties:
Draft and edit complex legal briefs, with a focus on Daubert and Rule 702 motions
Participate in developing litigation strategies in complex product liability matters
Lead and manage aspects of discovery, including document review and response drafting
Assist in deposition preparation and fact investigation
Work closely with expert witnesses to support the case strategy
Collaborate with team members and supervise junior attorneys
Maintain clear and professional communication with clients and stakeholders
Conduct legal research and present concise analyses to litigation teams
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in litigation, preferably at a large or nationally recognized law firm
Demonstrated expertise in motion practice related to expert witness challenges
Familiarity with the pharmaceutical or medical device industry litigation is advantageous
Licensed to practice law in Texas (additional licensure in New York is a plus)
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
Strong academic performance and legal reasoning background
Certifications:
Active membership in good standing with the Texas Bar
Eligibility to waive into or sit for the Bar in other jurisdictions is a plus
Skills:
Advanced legal writing and research capabilities
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude
Effective organizational and project management skills
Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
