A law firm seeks an experienced Pre-Litigation Supervisor (Attorney) to join their team in Burbank, California. This role involves providing attorney-level oversight and leadership for the pre-litigation department, focusing on personal injury matters. The position requires strategic leadership and hands-on legal expertise to ensure cases are efficiently advanced and positioned for optimal resolution prior to litigation.

Duties

• Provide attorney-level supervision of all pre-litigation personal injury cases.
• Oversee case strategy, liability analysis, and settlement positioning.
• Ensure quality control and compliance across the department.
• Serve as escalation point for complex cases and high-value claims.
• Supervise, mentor, and train Case Managers and Assistants.
• Conduct regular file reviews and performance evaluations.
• Review and approve demand packages prior to submission.
• Participate in high-level negotiations with insurance carriers.
• Track and analyze pre-litigation metrics and improve processes.
• Collaborate with Litigation, Intake, and Operations teams.

Requirements

• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• 5+ years of personal injury experience, including pre-litigation matters.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Deep understanding of PI law, insurance coverage, and damages.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with PI case management software preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active California Bar license.
