Job Title: Entry-Level Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A dynamic law firm based in Sarasota, FL, is seeking an entry-level Litigation Attorney to join its expanding team. This remote role involves working with a variety of clients, including homeowners, contractors, consumers, and small businesses, focusing on business disputes, real estate litigation, construction issues, and intellectual property matters. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with a strong commitment to personal and professional growth.

Duties:

• Draft legal documents, including letters, memos, motions, orders, and pleadings.
• Prepare attorneys for hearings by reviewing case files and providing necessary documentation.
• Manage case timelines and deadlines to ensure smooth workflow.
• Coordinate discovery efforts with legal support staff, including paralegals.
• Conduct thorough legal research on a wide range of topics to support case strategies.

Requirements:

• 0-5 years of experience as a litigation attorney.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills, with a focus on obtaining high marks in these areas.
• Must have a solid academic record, having graduated at least cum laude from law school and within the top 25% of the class.
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Outlook.
• Self-motivated with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Clio's experience is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Must have graduated in the top 25% of the class and preferably cum laude.

Certifications:

• Active Bar license required.

Skills:

• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with legal software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other essential tools.
• Ability to maintain a distraction-free work environment and a reliable internet connection for remote work.

Job Location:

• Sarasota, FL (Preferred). Remote work available.
