The candidate should have 2-5 years of experience of representing state and municipal governments in the issuance of tax-exempt and other debt obligations, serving as bond counsel to issuers of general obligation bonds and notes, revenue bonds, tax credit bonds, lease financings, and conduit borrowings including experience drafting bond authorizations, negotiating indentures, advising clients on refunding transactions, arbitrage rebate liability, changes in the use of bond-financed facilities, restructuring tax-exempt obligations due to financial distress, and guiding clients through Internal Revenue Service examinations of bond issues, and prior work experience in the banking or consumer finance fields is helpful. Admission to the Connecticut Bar is required. Top academic and transactional credentials, excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills also required. Should work well as part of a team and enjoy a fast-paced work environment.
