A law firm seeks an AI Innovation Attorney - Litigation in Washington, DC. This role involves partnering with litigation practices to identify and implement AI-driven opportunities, redesign workflows, and enhance legal service delivery.

Duties

• Partner with litigation practices and redesign workflows.
• Build trusted relationships with practice leaders and develop a detailed understanding of work processes.
• Analyze litigation workflows to identify opportunities for AI and process improvement.
• Advise lawyers on effective AI usage and its limitations.
• Assist litigators in using AI tools while preserving legal judgment and confidentiality.
• Lead pilots and initiatives from design to implementation and continuous improvement.
• Serve as a practice-facing expert for AI platforms and develop reusable solutions.
• Provide practical guidance and design training resources for AI capabilities.
• Partner with lawyers to develop differentiated litigation delivery approaches.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
• At least five years of substantive litigation experience.
• Deep understanding of litigation workflows and client service demands.
• Hands-on experience using generative AI in legal work.
• Ability to translate among legal, technical, and business audiences.
• Strong project ownership and organizational skills.
• Practical, curious mindset with a willingness to experiment and learn.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar membership in good standing.
