A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with experience in Insurance Coverage & Bad Faith matters to join its Seattle, Washington office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, maintain positive client relationships, and work effectively within a team-oriented environment.

Duties

• Provide initial analysis and develop case strategy.
• Prepare and respond to discovery.
• Take and defend depositions, draft motions, and attend hearings.
• Explain legal options to clients and highlight potential outcomes or threats.
• Build and maintain client relationships.
• Negotiate, research, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the state of Washington.
• Strong critical thinking skills and solid academic background.
• Proactive, knowledgeable, and attentive.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a history of meeting billable hours.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and effective.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook; experience with iManage and/or OneDrive is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Washington.
