Duties:

  • Conduct complex and detailed analyses of legal matters related to patent litigation.
  • Represent clients in patent disputes, including drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and providing litigation support.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse group of clients, fellow attorneys, and support staff.
  • Prepare and present legal arguments and strategies for patent litigation cases.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and trials as required.
  • Analyze patent-related technical documents, expert witness testimony, and scientific evidence.
  • Participate in the development of legal strategies and case management.
  • Maintain client relationships and provide legal counsel to clients on patent litigation matters.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of patent litigation experience.
  • Strong technical or scientific background.
  • Preference for candidates with advanced degrees, particularly in the life sciences field.
  • For technical backgrounds, preference for degrees in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or closely related fields.
  • Active membership in the State Bar and compliance with Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements.
  • Superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic record with a focus on intellectual property and patent law coursework.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the State Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical skills for detailed legal analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining client relationships.
