Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Plaintiff Personal Injury to join their team in Philadelphia, PA. The successful candidate will work closely with managing attorneys and paralegals, gaining invaluable experience in handling a wide variety of cases in Complex Civil Litigation.

Responsibilities

• Handle and manage caseload, including litigation.
• Formulate strategy for legal action.
• Prepare pleadings, discovery, demands, and responses.
• Handle depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and motion work.

Requirements

• Currently in good standing with the State Bar (PA required and NJ preferred).
• Three to five years of litigation experience.
• Understanding of how to research and find the law (cases and statutes).
• Basic experience in writing briefs, motions, and other pleadings.
• Excellent communication, research, and writing skills.
• Excellent negotiation and mediation skills.
• Desire to take ownership of files and move them forward towards settlement or trial without cutting corners.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar license (PA required, NJ preferred).
