Accounting Clerk
The candidate will support the Firm Administrator and Accounting Manager in performing a variety of administrative and accounting duties in order to maintain accurate financial and billing records, and reports. Under the general supervision of the Accounting Manager, perform accounts payable functions, inputs client chargeable costs into the billing system, reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment, tracks use of firm credit cards for client billing and appropriate g/l distributions, answers incoming calls from attorneys and clients on call line, runs conflicts checks, processes new client intakes and assists in the preparation of 1099s. May also be responsible as backup for other accounting functions as necessary. Must have intermediate to advanced Excel skills. 2+ years of community college/business school or higher lever education preferred; 2 years’ previous experience in Accounts Payable and general accounting functions. Must have excellent computer, organization and customer service skills.
