Assistant Court Clerk
The candidate to perform clerical and recordkeeping duties related to municipal court administration. Performs customer services. Receives and records fee and fine payments, answers questions from the public and other interested parties or refers to appropriate person or agency regarding court calendar, fines, docket and other administrative matters. Enters data to computer records regarding court information and citations. Initiates files for cases. Sorts and files documents. Assembles files for court proceedings. Collects bonds and applies to corresponding cases. Completes fingerprint cards and submits to State Authority. Completes correspondence, reports and other materials from written and oral instructions. Should be High School Graduate or equivalent. should be typing at least 45 w.p.m. Knowledge of court operations, criminal justice degree or paralegal degree is a plus. Court Clerk experience will be given preference.
