Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney for its Pine Brook, NJ office. The successful candidate will join the Life Sciences team and engage in a variety of litigation tasks, contributing to a dynamic legal environment.

Duties

• Draft pleadings, motions, and written discovery requests.
• Communicate extensively with clients regarding case status and strategies.
• Draft objections and responses to discovery requests.
• Review, analyze, and index document production.
• Prepare and manage scheduling, protective, and e-discovery orders.
• Prepare deposition outlines and exhibits.
• Conduct and defend depositions of witnesses.
• Prepare witness outlines and exhibits for trials and hearings.
• Conduct oral arguments on motions.
• Appear in court or arbitration for conferences.
• Develop strategies and draft mediation statements.
• Work with state-based boards and administrative agencies.
• Assist in trials and final hearings in arbitration.

Requirements

• 3+ years of litigation experience.
• Healthcare or Life Sciences experience preferred; interest in these areas considered.
• Willingness to work in Pine Brook, NJ office at least 4 days per week.
• Admitted to practice in at least one US state.
• Experience with most job responsibilities listed.

• Minimum law school GPA of 3.0 preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
