IP Patents Patent Specialist

Profile

A law firm in Atlanta is actively seeking an IP Patents Patent Specialist to work closely with attorneys and patent agents. The candidate will be involved in preparing and prosecuting patent applications related to emerging technologies, with a focus on technical discussions with inventors. The role requires strong technical skills, excellent writing abilities, and relevant experience in sectors such as data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, wireless communications, sensors, semiconductors, Internet of Things, or equivalent.

Job Details:

• Collaborate with attorneys and patent agents to assist inventors in preparing and prosecuting patent applications.
• Receive training on identifying inventions through technical discussions with inventors.
• Draft comprehensive patent applications.
• Prepare reports and other support documentation to assist in the management of patent portfolios.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (preferred).
• Relevant technical experience in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, wireless communications, sensors, semiconductors, Internet of Things, or equivalent sectors is a plus.
• Strong technical skills.
• Excellent writing skills.
