A law firm in Princeton is seeking a Patent Agent (Immunology/Virology) with a Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology and a minimum of 3 years of experience prosecuting patents in the immunology and molecular biology therapeutic space. The ideal candidate will have experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications, responding to office actions, assisting in the preparation of opinions, and conducting prior art searches in fields such as immunotherapy, gene therapy, cell therapy, and related areas. Strong academic credentials and admission to practice before the USPTO are required.

Duties:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications in the fields of immunology and virology
• Respond to office actions and correspond with patent examiners
• Assist in the preparation of legal opinions on patentability, validity, and infringement
• Conduct prior art searches and analyze patent landscapes
• Collaborate with inventors and attorneys to develop patent strategies
• Assist in the preparation and prosecution of patent appeals, interferences, and reexaminations
• Stay updated on developments in immunology, virology, and patent law
• Provide technical and legal support to clients on patent-related matters

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology
• Minimum of 3 years of experience prosecuting patents in the immunology and molecular biology therapeutic space
• Admission to practice before the USPTO
