A law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney with 1-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate should have trial experience or experience in trial work up and be proficient in taking and defending depositions. The candidate should also have experience in preparing various pleadings, law and motion, and discovery. Experience in trial preparation is a plus. The candidate must be licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.

Duties:

• Handle personal injury cases from inception through resolution.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Prepare various pleadings, law and motion documents, and responses to discovery.
• Engage in mediations and arbitrations.
• Prepare for trial, including managing deadlines, creating trial binders, drafting jury instructions, motions in limine, expert designations and depositions, and preparing exhibit and witness lists.
• Provide legal representation to clients in personal injury cases, including conducting negotiations and settlements.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
• Develop and maintain client relationships through effective communication.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing.
• 1-5 years of experience in personal injury law.
• Trial experience or trial work up experience preferred.
• Proficiency in taking and defending depositions.
• Experience in preparing pleadings, law and motion, and discovery.
• Strong understanding of trial preparation, including deadlines, trial binders, jury instructions, motions in limine, expert designation and depositions, and exhibit and witness lists.
• Exceptional research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing.
