Legal Counsel, VP - Digital Transformation
The candidate will act as a trusted legal advisor to Corporate Solutions' business seeking to transact insurance business via digital platforms and services. Provide legal advice designed to enable and support digital transactions in compliance with applicable state insurance law and regulations. Advice on 50-state insurance regulatory issues whether the business is transacted digitally or traditionally. Identify, analyze, and research legal issues and provide advice and solutions. Experience in technology law issues such as software and application licensing, cybersecurity and data privacy, cloud, SaaS, access & use, and intellectual property, is preferable. Assist with the creation and maintenance of templates under US law. Support business transactions by reviewing, revising, and negotiating agreements and advising the business on legal risks throughout life of each deal. Partner and collaborate with various regional and global functional teams (other Legal teams, Compliance, Risk Management, Finance, Operations, Internal Audit, and Contracts and Wordings, Group Functions) within the company to ensure holistic assessment and mitigation of risks relating to a digital (re)insurance transactions.
