A law firm is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience, with a strong background in patent litigation. The firm prefers candidates with law firm experience and a technical degree, particularly those with an aptitude for handling cases related to biology, chemistry, physical sciences, engineering, or related fields. Exceptional academic credentials and superior written and oral communication skills are essential for this role.

Duties:

• Manage a diverse range of intellectual property litigation cases, with a focus on patents
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and technical experts to comprehend complex scientific concepts
• Conduct thorough legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials
• Provide effective communication with clients, offering updates and legal counsel
• Work closely with senior attorneys to develop and execute case strategies
• Analyze and evaluate the merits of intellectual property claims and defenses
• Stay abreast of developments in intellectual property law and relevant scientific fields
• Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes

Requirements:

• Experience in intellectual property litigation
• Preference for candidates with law firm experience
• Technical degree preferred, with an aptitude for handling cases related to biology, chemistry, physical sciences, engineering, or related fields
• Outstanding academic credentials
• Patent litigation experience is required
• Admitted to practice law and in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Technical degree (preferred)

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law and in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction
