A law firm based in Columbia, SC, is seeking a dynamic Litigation Attorney with a concentration in family law to join its expanding team. Duties:

• Advocate for clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement discussions

• Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, and related legal documentation

• Analyze case law, legal precedents, and relevant statutes

• Communicate with clients, opposing parties, and judicial entities with professionalism and clarity

• Develop case strategies that align with client goals and legal best practices

• Ensure timely management of all litigation deadlines and procedural obligations

• Collaborate with legal team members to support firm-wide objectives

• Maintain ethical standards and professional conduct consistent with legal practice rules

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in South Carolina

• 3 to 5 years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for family law matters

• Proficiency in court procedures and litigation timelines specific to South Carolina

• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive client issues with discretion and professionalism

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the South Carolina Bar in good standing

Skills:

• Exceptional written and oral communication abilities

• Strong legal research and critical thinking skills

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment

• Confident courtroom presence and negotiation talent
