Trademark Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm is seeking a Trademark Associate Attorney in Salt Lake City. The Trademark Associate Attorney will be responsible for assisting with trademark searching, global trademark strategy development, and domestic and international trademark prosecution and enforcement. The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing and communication skills and have experience in TTAB proceedings, online and social media enforcement, and UDRP proceedings.

Duties:

• Conduct trademark searches and provide clearance opinions
• Develop and implement global trademark strategies
• Handle domestic and international trademark prosecution and enforcement matters
• Assist with TTAB proceedings, online and social media enforcement, and UDRP proceedings
• Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and government agencies

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar
• 2-5 years of experience in trademark law
• Strong understanding of trademark law principles and procedures
• Superior writing and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Skills:

• Proficiency in conducting trademark searches
• Experience with trademark prosecution and enforcement
• Familiarity with TTAB proceedings, online and social media enforcement, and UDRP proceedings
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Foreign language skills are highly valued
