A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney to join its New York, NY litigation team. The role involves working closely with a Senior Partner on a diverse caseload, including casualty defense, premises liability, and automobile liability. This position offers immediate hands-on experience, including depositions, court appearances, and skill development within a collaborative team.

Duties

• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, discovery demands, and responses.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Manage discovery, including interrogatories and document review.
• Perform legal research and case analysis.
• Appear in New York and New Jersey courts as needed.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of litigation experience in casualty defense, premises liability, or automobile liability.
• Active New York bar admission required; New Jersey bar admission required (or willingness to obtain within a reasonable timeframe).
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Detail-oriented, self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
