Business Tax Accounting Methods & Periods Associate
The candidate will perform tax planning and research, resolving complex tax issues, and giving recommendations to clients, as it relates primarily to accounting methods and period opportunities. Will generate and sustain client relationships. Assist in managing and implementing multiple projects simultaneously, which include technical discussions with clients, computations, analysis, data gathering, and coordination of resources. Assist with drafting technical memoranda, legal basis disclosures, responses to IRS inquiries, and IRS Ruling requests. Develop an understanding of the client's business and become a "functional expert" in the area. Help drive the success of multiple CIM engagements, primarily related to AMP in addition to R&D tax credit studies and Tangible Property Services (TPS), as appropriate. Contribute as an industry expert by keeping abreast of changes in industry regulation, maintain competency through continuing education and obtaining additional professional certifications.
