Associate Attorney needed for Los Angeles office

Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will conduct various legal tasks, including discovery, drafting legal documents, assisting with trial preparation, negotiation, and providing legal advice to clients.

Job Duties:

• Conduct and respond to discovery
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements
• Assist with the preparation of cases for trial
• Conduct negotiations and settlement discussions on behalf of clients
• Attend court hearings and depositions
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies
• Review and analyze legal documents and contracts
• Provide legal advice to clients on a wide range of issues

Requirements:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent legal research and analytical skills
• Proficiency in legal drafting and document preparation
• Knowledge of Lexis-Nexis or other legal research tools
• Ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience in litigation is preferred

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar Association

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant or Paralegal is a plus.
