Duties:

• Conduct legal research
• Independently draft transactional documents
• Attend client appointments independently
• Understand client expectations and department business goals
• Contribute to special projects and committees
• Complete administrative tasks, including time reporting and closed cases
• Utilize technology and automation in legal practice
• Adhere to file management standards
• Travel as required for business needs
• Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations and firm policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Ability to participate in all aspects of the firm's professional activities
• Prior transactional experience in real estate, business law, commercial transactions, and/or community association matters
• Record case time and expenses contemporaneously
• Punctuality and adherence to office hours
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines efficiently
• Excellent research skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and file management software
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
• Professional demeanor and presentation, in person and virtually
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• High ethical standards and confidentiality of client matters

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Current license to practice law in Alabama
