A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its Jackson, Michigan office. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team, contributing to various legal processes and ensuring effective case management.

Duties

• Draft and review legal documents including Summons, Complaints, Judgments, and Settlement Agreements.
• Prepare and file litigation motions and responses as needed.
• Communicate with attorneys, employers, and consumers to resolve accounts and suits.
• Review lawsuits and legal pleadings for accuracy and compliance.
• Manage court coverage placements and ensure necessary documentation is attached.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan; additional state licenses are advantageous.
• Ability to appear in court punctually using personal transportation.
• Willingness to travel, with reimbursement provided per IRS mileage rates.
• Strong multitasking abilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar membership in Michigan.
