Duties: Authoring of briefs for submission before the Board of Immigration Appeals and before the United States Court of Appeals; the authoring of motions for submission before the Board of Immigration Appeals; appearances at Master Calendar Hearings, Individual Hearings, and Custody Re-Determination Hearings before the Immigration Court; appearances at Asylum Officer Interviews, Adjustment of Status Interviews, Naturalization Interviews, and other appearances before the Citizenship and Immigration Services; preparation of family-based petitions, asylum applications, and naturalization applications; preparation of evidentiary submissions during deportation (removal) cases, such as exhibit lists; and, the preparation of client declarations. Extensive interaction with members of the immigrant community.
