A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Attorney with experience representing secured creditors in consumer Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases in Chattanooga, TN. The ideal candidate will have over two years of experience and a solid understanding of the Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure. Candidates licensed to practice law in North Carolina or Tennessee are preferred, though training is available for team-oriented individuals with less experience.

Duties

• Manage routine bankruptcy matters.
• Draft and review pleadings and claims.
• Attend scheduled hearings.
• Respond to firm-wide bankruptcy inquiries.
• Review client filings.
• Monitor electronic filings (ECFs).
• Resolve routine bankruptcy issues.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court.

Requirements

• Knowledge of bankruptcy rules and creditor rights laws.
• Computer literacy.
• Professionalism and attention to detail.
• Strong keyboard and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina or Tennessee.
• Admitted to Bankruptcy Courts in North Carolina or Tennessee.
