Labor And Employment Associate Attorney
A Washington, D.C.-based law firm is seeking a litigation-focused Labor and Employment Associate with 3-5 years of experience handling a diverse range of employment-related legal matters. This role is suited for a driven legal professional interested in contributing to complex employment litigation while working alongside a collaborative and dynamic legal team. Traditional labor exposure is a plus, though not essential.
Represent clients in litigation involving employment discrimination, wage and hour, and workplace disputes
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
Appear in court proceedings and administrative hearings
Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Support senior attorneys on complex litigation matters
Manage case files and maintain regular communication with clients
Collaborate with colleagues across various practice areas as needed
3–5 years of employment litigation experience at a law firm or in-house legal department
Familiarity with key employment statutes such as Title VII, FLSA, ADA, ADEA, and related state laws
Admission to the bar in the District of Columbia (or ability to waive in)
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-driven environment
Demonstrated capability in managing multiple matters simultaneously
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active and good standing admission to the District of Columbia Bar
