A law firm seeks an experienced Family Law Attorney to join their fast-growing practice in Melrose, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate is seasoned, confident, strategic, and thrives in the courtroom. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in a hybrid work environment.

Duties

• Manage a full docket of divorce, custody, support, and modification cases, both contested and uncontested.
• Conduct depositions, motions, pretrial conferences, and trials in Middlesex, Suffolk, and Essex Counties.
• Draft and negotiate prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
• Participate in and conduct mediation sessions.
• Collaborate within the firm's pod structure to ensure excellent client communication and results.
• Engage in firm-wide marketing and community outreach.
• Contribute to the continued growth and leadership of the Family Law division.
• Mentor paralegals and junior attorneys.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice in Massachusetts (New Hampshire license a plus).
• 3+ years of family law experience with a preference for 5+ years.
• Demonstrated trial and courtroom proficiency.
• Experience with Guardian ad Litem coordination and high-net-worth divorces.
• Familiar with or willing to learn legal software tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Calm, strategic, and conciliatory approach to conflict resolution.
• Leadership and mentoring capability.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts.

• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Strong negotiation and mediation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
