Job Title: Mid-Level Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in New York City, NY, is seeking a mid-level associate attorney to join their Financial Institutions Group. This role involves providing expert regulatory counsel in various financial services areas. The position requires a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, analytical expertise, and a commitment to excellence in client service.

Duties:

• Advising clients on compliance with financial regulations, including bank, broker-dealer, and derivatives regulations.
• Assisting clients with issues related to investment advisers, investment companies, and creditors' rights.
• Preparing and reviewing regulatory filings, agreements, and other documentation.
• Monitoring changes in relevant laws and regulations and ensuring clients are up to date.
• Collaborating with colleagues across practices to provide integrated legal solutions.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in regulatory law related to financial institutions.
• Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
  • Bank and bank holding company regulation
  • Broker-dealer compliance
  • Swap dealer and derivatives regulation
  • Investment adviser and investment company rules
  • Collateral, collateral enforcement, and creditors’ rights
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to the New York or Washington, D.C. Bar.

Skills:

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and the capacity to handle complex regulatory matters.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment.
• Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting legal and regulatory frameworks.
