Job Overview:

A law firm in Washington, DC is seeking a Toxic Tort Associate Attorney with 3 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will hold a Juris Doctor degree from a top law school and be licensed to practice law in DC. This role involves taking and defending expert and witness depositions, drafting litigation documents, developing client relationships, and preparing for trial.

 
Duties:

• Take and defend expert and witness depositions
• Draft original motions and other litigation-related documents on complex matters
• Draft discovery requests and responses to be exchanged with various parties
• Develop client relationships through oral and written communication
• Prepare for trial, including motions in limine, exhibit lists, and witness lists 

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from a top law school
• Licensed to practice law in DC
• 3 years of toxic tort litigation experience
• Experience in a billable work environment
• Self-motivated individual with high energy willing to meet deadlines
• Superior written and oral communication skills with attention to detail 

Education:

• Juris Doctor degree from a top law school

Certifications:

• DC Bar license

 Skills:

• Proficient in drafting legal documents
• Strong oral advocacy skills
• Ability to conduct legal research efficiently
• Excellent interpersonal skills for client interaction
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
