A law firm is seeking an experienced Dispute Resolution Associate to join their team in the Los Angeles office. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to work on a wide variety of complex, cross-border litigation and arbitration cases. The successful candidate will handle all phases of litigation, from drafting pleadings to taking depositions and managing discovery. In addition to legal work, the role will involve business development activities and relationship-building with clients, intermediaries, and other legal professionals.

Handle all phases of litigation and arbitration, including legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and memoranda of law.
Manage discovery processes, including drafting discovery requests and responses and analyzing information produced during discovery.
Take and defend depositions and handle court appearances.
Work collaboratively with team members to develop strategies for case resolution.
Contribute to the firm’s profile through business development activities, including writing articles, attending conferences, and networking with key contacts.
Maintain long-term relationships with clients, intermediaries, and peer firms and counsel.
Participate in additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the practice.
5-7 years of litigation experience within a law firm’s litigation group.
Strong academic credentials (J.D. required).
California Bar membership in good standing.
Proven experience with taking and defending depositions, handling court proceedings, and managing complex litigation cases.
Exposure to sophisticated disputes and investigations (domestic experience required; international exposure a plus).
Excellent drafting, writing, research, and communication skills.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities.
Former law clerk experience is preferred.
Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Admission to the California Bar in good standing.
Litigation and arbitration experience.
Legal research and writing.
Drafting pleadings, motions, and memoranda.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Project management and multitasking abilities.
Team player with the ability to work independently.
