Procurement Contracts Manager
The candidate will be responsible for managing a team of high performing individuals within Corporate Procurement. Managerial responsibilities for Contract Services team including hiring, promotions, terminations, disciplinary procedures, etc. Provide ongoing performance feedback, goal setting, and development plans for staff. Lead and/or provide guidance to resources supporting the execution of the Contract processes in compliance with Procurement and Legal policies. Lead the development of a contracting strategy within Procurement for third party/supplier agreements. Develop business and commercial contract terms/conditions in accordance with corporate standards. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop optimal contract terms. Modify/redline contracts as necessary to ensure alignment with stakeholder goals / objectives. Work with Legal to effectively negotiate deviations to standard terms, while managing business/commercial risk. Develop performance metrics report on Contract Services performance/development and compliance. Intervenes, analyzes, manages and resolves contracting issues between stakeholders and suppliers. Identify opportunities to leverage purchase orders in addition or in leu of contracts for specific work efforts in accordance with corporate policy. Interface with key customer, proactively ensuring contractual compliance and performance. Collaborates with the Sourcing team to provide guidance on supplier selection. Ability to analyze current processes and make recommendation for process optimization / automation. Mentors Contract Specialists and supports their work as necessary. Actively initiates, develops and maintains department processes to manage third-party / supplier contracts, as well as written procedures. Manages the review process for all third-party payor contracts. Assists with special projects when needed. Must have Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Should have 5 years of experience managing complex contracting initiatives. Must have 3 years of experience managing direct reports.
