Be ready and able to file US patent applications, and PCT applications, including all related forms and relevant related documentation
Care deeply about small details. A preferred candidate will obsess over the small things, like (literally) checking all the right boxes on forms, making sure the inventor’s middle initial is correct (or that the inventor has a middle initial), and that a priority chain is spot on. A preferred candidate will also be personally driven to “root cause” any problems that may occur so they do not happen again
Mastery of the USPTO’s online tools
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work professionally and confidentially with a variety of personalities from all levels of an organization
Proven organizational and multi-tasking skills
Independent, action-oriented thinker who will successfully undertake and complete projects and major tasks with limited supervision and work with other practice assistants as a team
Ability to prioritize work, sometimes on the fly, and occasionally with little advance notice
